Finally Chase Bank brought back the $125 free money promo!

Just open a Chase Free Checking Account with at least $100 and your free cash will be deposited into your account within 6-weeks.  You can open an account online or in store – just remember to use your coupon code!

But, there’s a couple small “catches” you need to know about…

First, Many consumers who opened their Chase Free Checking accounts online reported never getting their bonuses.

I wanted to know why, so I dug deeper. Here’s what I found…

Chase has a little-known policy that denies bonuses to consumers who don’t have a Chase branch in their area. This sort-of makes sense (they can’t use the account)… but… Don’t you agree it makes more sense to disclose this important fact when people apply for an account – NOT afterward?

So… If you don’t have a Chase Branch near you, you’re outta’ luck for now.

Second, You must keep your account open for at least 6 months; otherwise, your cash bonus will be withdrawn from your account when you close it. Also, to avoid any fees, you either need to make 5 debit card purchases per month or have direct deposit.

So, now that you know what to expect, here’s how to get your bonus…

You can get the bonus even if you have an existing  account, because the offer limits customers to one bonus per calendar year.  Since it’s a new year, everyone qualifies!  Just don’t fund your new account with money from another Chase account.
